The Basics
What is VectorEase?
VectorEase is a browser-based image-to-vector conversion tool built for laser creators. You drop in any photo, sketch, or design, and you get back a clean layered SVG file ready to engrave or cut. No tracing skills required, no Illustrator subscription, no learning curve.
What image formats can I upload?
PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, GIF, and BMP. Any photo, sketch, screenshot, or design. Max file size 20MB.
What do I get back?
SVG (the main format you will use), DXF, and LightBurn-native .lbrn2. All three formats download with a single export. Each color in your output maps to its own laser layer, so you can drop the SVG straight into LightBurn or Falcon Pro and start cutting. No manual cleanup, no path sorting, no guessing.
What kind of images work best?
VectorEase works best for clean logos and wordmarks, silhouettes and simple shapes, line art and hand-drawn sketches, high-contrast black-and-white designs, and images with limited colors (2 to 6).
It is tougher for photos of people or scenes, watercolors and soft gradients, fine text on detailed shapes, and textured backgrounds like wood grain. If your use case is in the first list, you will love it. If it is in the second list, results will be less reliable — Photo Mode is coming in v2.
How fast is it?
Most images finish in under 60 seconds, often in 20-30 seconds. The exact time depends on the complexity of your image and the speed of your computer, since all the processing happens locally in your browser.
Do I need to install anything?
Nope. VectorEase runs entirely in your browser. No downloads, no plugins, no installs. Sign in at app.vectorease.com and start working.
Privacy & Security
Do you upload my images to your servers?
No. This is one of the biggest reasons we built VectorEase the way we did. All image processing happens client-side, in your browser. Your images never touch our servers. We literally cannot see your files, even if we wanted to.
That matters especially if you're vectorizing client logos, custom designs, or anything you wouldn't want uploaded to a random web service.
What data do you actually collect?
Account info only — your email address, name, account creation date, and last login timestamp. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe (we never see card numbers). See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
Pricing & Trial
How does the free trial work?
You get 5 free vectorizations on the house. No credit card required. Each unique image you download counts as 1 vectorization. Re-downloading the same image in different formats (SVG plus DXF plus LightBurn) only counts once.
There is no time limit. Take as long as you want to use your 5 free vectorizations.
What happens after my 5 free vectorizations?
You have two options. Pay $39 once for lifetime access (founder pricing for the first 100 customers — then $79 forever), or walk away. That's it. There's no card on file, so you can't be accidentally charged. If you walk away, nothing happens.
Why $39 instead of $79?
Founder pricing for the first 100 customers. Helping us launch in exchange for half off. Once 100 seats are sold, the price moves to $79 lifetime. Once you're in at $39, you're locked in at that price forever.
Will I be auto-charged after my free vectorizations?
Impossible. We don't have your card. The only way you pay is by actively choosing to upgrade to lifetime access. No silent charges, no auto-renewals, no surprises.
Do I get future updates?
Yes. The $39 covers lifetime access to all VectorEase v1.x updates and features. Founder license stays valid for everything we ship in the v1.x line. If we ever launch premium tiers later (team plans, API access), your Founder license stays valid for everything you bought it for.
What if I don't want to upgrade after my 5 free vectorizations?
No problem. Walk away. Any SVGs you downloaded during the trial are yours to keep forever, even if you do not upgrade.
What's your refund policy?
30-day money-back guarantee on the $39 payment. Use the contact form below within 30 days, get refunded within 5 business days. No questions asked. Full details on the Refund Policy page.
Compatibility & Support
Will it work with my laser cutter?
If your laser software accepts SVG files, yes. We've optimized output specifically for LightBurn and Falcon Pro layer separation, but the SVGs work with any standard laser workflow. That includes Glowforge, xTool, Ortur, Atomstack, OMTech, Boss, Thunder, and most other consumer and prosumer lasers.
Cricut users: yes, VectorEase outputs work in Cricut Design Space too (Maker, Explore, and Joy).
What browsers are supported?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Brave — any modern browser updated within the last two years. Best performance on Chrome and Edge thanks to their WebAssembly handling.
Can I use VectorEase on multiple devices?
Yes. One account, sign in from any browser on any device. Your lifetime license is tied to your account, not your hardware.
How do I get support?
Two options. First, use the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of any page — our AI assistant handles most questions instantly. For anything it can't answer, use the contact form below. Dan responds personally within 24 hours.
