01Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using VectorEase ("the Service") at vectorease.com or app.vectorease.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. It's that simple.
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Dan Deigan, operating VectorEase from Erin, Ontario, Canada.
02What VectorEase is
VectorEase is a browser-based image-to-vector conversion tool built for laser cutting and engraving. You upload an image, the tool processes it locally in your browser (your image never leaves your device), and you download a layered SVG file ready to use with LightBurn, Falcon Pro, Glowforge, xTool, Cricut, and other vector-based design tools.
03Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf. You also need to live in a country where it's legal to use VectorEase under your local laws.
04Your account
To use VectorEase you'll create an account with your email address. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Don't share your account, and don't use someone else's account. If you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us through the form below.
One account, one user. You can sign in from any number of devices, but the license is tied to your account.
05Free trial
New accounts get 5 free vectorizations on the house. No credit card required. Each unique image you download counts as one vectorization. Re-downloading the same image in different formats (SVG, DXF, LightBurn .lbrn2) only counts once.
There is no time limit on your free vectorizations. Use them whenever. When you've used all 5, you'll be prompted to upgrade.
06Pricing and payment
VectorEase is a one-time payment for lifetime access. No subscriptions. No auto-renewals. No recurring charges.
- Founder pricing: $39 USD lifetime for the first 100 customers
- Standard pricing: $79 USD lifetime, applicable once 100 founder seats sell out
Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card information. Stripe handles all payment data under their security standards.
Founder customers are locked in at $39 lifetime. If we introduce premium tiers in the future, your existing $39 license remains valid for everything it originally covered.
07What your license covers
Your lifetime license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use VectorEase for personal AND commercial purposes. That includes selling laser-cut products, Etsy listings, custom client work, and physical goods made from your vectorized designs.
You may NOT:
- Resell or redistribute VectorEase itself
- Use VectorEase to power a competing automated vectorization service
- Share your account credentials with others to bypass the license
- Reverse engineer the software or scrape the application
08Refunds
30-day money-back guarantee on the founder ($39) or standard ($79) lifetime payment. No questions asked. Use the contact form below within 30 days of your payment, include your email address, and we'll process the refund within 5 business days through Stripe.
See the Refund Policy for full details.
09Your images and your output
You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights to:
- The images you upload to VectorEase
- The SVG, DXF, and .lbrn2 files generated from your uploads
- Any physical or digital products you make from those files
Because all processing happens client-side in your browser, your images never reach our servers. We don't store them, view them, log them, or train any models on them. We literally cannot, even if we wanted to.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use any images you upload. Don't upload images you don't have permission to vectorize.
10What you can't do
You agree not to use VectorEase for:
- Anything illegal under your local, provincial, state, or federal laws
- Vectorizing images you don't have rights to (copyrighted material, trademarks you don't own, etc.)
- Harassment, threats, or harmful activity against anyone, including our support team
- Automated scraping or programmatic access to bypass our trial limits
- Sharing accounts to circumvent our lifetime license terms
- Distributing malware, viruses, or attempting to compromise the service
11Our intellectual property
VectorEase, the VectorEase name, logo, branding, marketing copy, software code, and user interface design are owned by Dan Deigan / VectorEase. Your purchase grants you usage rights but does not transfer ownership of the software itself.
12Disclaimers
VectorEase is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee:
- Any specific quality of output for a given input image (results vary by image complexity)
- Uptime or that the service will be available at all times
- Compatibility with every laser cutter, design software, or material
- Successful laser cutting outcomes (proper machine setup, materials, and safety practices are your responsibility)
Safety note: We are not responsible for damage to your laser cutter, materials, workspace, or yourself caused by the designs you create. Always test cuts on scrap material first, follow your machine manufacturer's safety guidelines, and never leave a running laser unattended.
13Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of VectorEase is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, capped at $79 USD.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or harm to reputation, even if we were advised that such damages might occur.
14Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dan Deigan / VectorEase from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of VectorEase, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
15Changes to the service
We may update, improve, add features to, or remove features from VectorEase over time. We may change pricing for NEW customers in the future. Your locked-in founder or standard lifetime price stays valid for everything it originally covered.
If we make material changes that affect your existing license, we'll notify you by email at the address associated with your account.
16Termination
You can stop using VectorEase at any time. If you want your account deleted, contact us through the form below and we'll remove it within 7 business days.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including any of the prohibited uses listed above. In serious cases (illegal activity, abuse, attempting to compromise our systems) we may terminate without refund.
17Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to your account address, with a minimum 14 days notice. Continued use of VectorEase after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
You can always find the current version at this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top.
18Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and applicable Canadian federal law. Any disputes that can't be resolved through the contact form below will be heard in the courts of Ontario.
